MasterclassView runs LunchSkill (“we”) and decides what happens to the data described here. Questions and requests go to contact@masterclassview.com or 14 Bd Princesse Charlotte, 98000 Monaco.
Without an account
You can watch everything without signing in. Views and watch time are counted per video, not per person. To stop scripts from inflating view counts and from mass-sending sign-in emails, we store your IP address (for IPv6, its /64 block) with a counter. The record is deleted after a day without requests. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in honest counts and a site that cannot be abused (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
When a search finds no video, we keep the words searched, in lowercase, with a count and the date, so we know which lessons to make next. Nothing about who searched is stored with them. Don’t type personal details into the search box.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script tells Cloudflare which page you opened, the site that linked to it, your browser, device type and country, and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you, and we only see totals. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which lessons people find and whether pages load fast enough (art. 6(1)(f)).
With an account
- Your email address and a display name: the part of your address before the @ until you change it in Settings. If you sign in with Google, also the name, profile picture link and sign-in tokens Google sends us.
- What you do while signed in: watch history and where you stopped (nothing is added while history is paused in Library → History), likes and dislikes, channels you follow, playlists and Watch later, notes, comments and the comments you report.
- Your sign-in sessions, each with the IP address and browser it started from, so a session you do not recognise can be spotted. A session ends when you sign out or a week after you last used it.
Legal basis: running the account you asked for (art. 6(1)(b)); for session addresses, our legitimate interest in keeping accounts safe (art. 6(1)(f)). Comments are public, with your display name next to them.
Emails
We send the sign-in links you ask for. If you follow channels, we also send a digest of their new videos: weekly unless you choose daily or off in Settings. Every digest has a one-click unsubscribe link. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in telling you about channels you chose to follow (art. 6(1)(f)); you can stop it at any time.
Cookies and storage on your device
When you sign in we set cookies that keep you signed in, and that is all they do. There are no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers, so there is nothing to consent to. Your browser also keeps a few settings for this site on your device, such as whether the menu is open, or a Follow you pressed before signing in, which finishes once you are in.
Who else handles it
- Bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia) stores and streams the videos. Your browser loads them from its servers, which see your IP address as any website does.
- Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) sends our emails and receives your address and the message.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) passes every request on to our server and filters attacks; it sees your IP address and the pages you open, and runs the visit statistics described above.
- netcup (netcup GmbH, Germany) rents us the server the site and its database run on, in its data centre in Manassas, Virginia, USA.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google; your Google account is covered by Google’s own policy.
Transfers to the USA rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The AI services that make and describe our lessons (HeyGen, Higgsfield, Anthropic) work on our scripts and video transcripts and never receive data about you. We do not sell data and show no ads.
How long we keep it
- Account data and activity: until you delete the account. It leaves the database at once and our backups as they roll over, within 30 days.
- Comments stay after the account is deleted, shown as “Deleted user”. Delete them first if you want them gone, or ask us to.
- Sessions: a week after their last use; expired ones are deleted within a day.
- IP address counters: a day after the last request.
- Searches that found nothing: 90 days after the last time anyone made them.
- Server logs (IP address, page, time, browser), used to fix errors and stop attacks: up to 14 days.
Your rights

LunchSkill is not meant for children under 13, and they may not create an account.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects what we do with data we already hold, we email account holders before it applies.
